ART:                           Children will make a picture of a duck.  They will tear tissue paper

                                     Into small pieces and glue them on the duck, cut out the duck.     

 

SOCIAL STUDIES:     BIG BOOK 1:  Lesson 2        

                                     Have children do a paper on themselves.  They draw a picture

                                     Of themselves, write how old they are, what they like to eat,

                                     And their favorite toy.

 

SCIENCE:                    Plants:  Talk about the different parts of a flower.  Flower, leaf,

                                      Stem, roots.  Discuss what the different parts do and why it is

 

 

 

                                      Important. Soak pinto beans , then open the bean so the children

                                      Can see the inside .  Seed Coat, Seed Food, and plant. Place  a

                                      Bean on wet paper towel and place into baggie and watch what

                                      Happens.  What do plants need to grow?  What are the parts of

                                      A plant and what do they do?

 

BIBLE STORY:           “Noah and The Ark”      Let children tell the story back to

                                      you.   Color a picture of  “Noah’s Ark”.  Work on song about

                                       Noah.

 

 Sight Words:                I, am, a, and, away, big, blue, can    Learn these words and be

                                     Able to recognize them.  They do not have to spell them.
